Ocean Village is situated in Tofino, a village in Clayoquot Sound, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve fronting the Pacific coast. Ocean Village offers resort like accommodations in Tofino. The village occupies approximately 6 acres of coastal land. Guests who are staying in the village have a direct access to MacKenzie Beach, a pristine expanse of sandy beach hugged by forests of cedar trees. Accommodations range from 1 to 2 bedroom and studio cottages. All of the cottages offer amazing waterfront views and some are directly located near the shoreline.
Within the resort are amenities such as a heated indoor saltwater pool, outdoor barbecue facilities, mobility and access for differently-abled guests, and free wireless access in all rooms. There are no phones, televisions, and radios inside the rooms so guests can truly relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the natural surroundings.
The resort has a green policy in place. Guest bathrooms are supplied with organic and locally-produced soap and toiletries, and showerheads and faucet aerators use less than 40% energy and water. Other green innovations adopted by the resort includes Smart Glass windows in the pool area, an energy efficient laundry system, and green-compliant carpeting in all rooms.
Ocean Village is located near the Pacific Rim National Park. Those who are planning to book their next vacation in Tofino can choose between land and air travel. Flights to Tofino can be arranged via Tofino Air or Orca Airways. Both airlines offer regular flights from Vancouver and Victoria.
