Dr. Sun Yat Sen Chinese Gardens
At 578 Carrall Street welcomes you back to 15th Century China with soothing sounds and sights.  Art exhibits, concerts, theater, walking tours and much more are offered here. Tour times vary depending upon the season.

Evening pub crawl!
Start at the West End around Davie Street and keep going till you reach Denman Street enjoying Irish pubs and crazy clubs along the way.

Hastings Park
2901 E Hastings, has a little bit of everything in its three sections.  Il Giardino Italiano is filled with lush Italian-style plantings.  Amid the fountains there is a children’s play area, opera walk and popular skate park.  The Sanctuary is dominated by a pond and criss crossed with walk ways and small bridges.  The Empire Bowl has fields for soccer and softball along with an oval running track.

Grouse Grind
Wednesdays are the days to go for the “Grouse Grind” trail.  Grouse Grind Social nights start at the trail head at 6pm and culminate at Altitudes Bistro with music, food and drink.

River Rock Casino
Found at 8811 River Road, has over 900 slot machines, tons of table games, and the biggest poker room in Canada.  Poker tournaments held daily.

A Wok around Chinatown
Begins at the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Chinese Gardens and is a guided walking tour through Vancouver’s extensive China town.  Enjoy the sights, sounds, smells and tastes!  Tours are Friday through Monday, 10am to 2pm and somewhat expensive.

The Bloedel Floral Conservatory
Is under the beautiful triodetic dome found in Queen Elizabeth Park.  Inside they have over 100 birds of various species flying free.  Enjoy the climate control and the exotic plants and birds from 10:00am to 5:00pm 7 days a week.

Stanley Park
At the north foot of Georgia Street, is chock full of things to do for adults and children.  There are gardens, the Children’s’ Farmyard and Miniature Train, beaches, a water park, and aquarium…..  An entire holiday could be spent here and still leave fun and exciting things undone.
