Canada has 2 official languages, English and French. English is prominent throughout most of Canada with French being the predominant language of Quebec and other areas of Eastern Canada.
When Visiting western Canada such as British Columbia, there is very little evidense of French in every day life, but throughout Canada signs information is presented equally in both languages.
